Have you faced the problem of forgetting your ATM pin or keeping your ATM card at home?

Have you ever lost your ATM card before or had damaged your card?

Know More:  How to Withdraw Money from ATM Machine?

Do not worry there’s a good news for you!

DCB Bank has a solution!

Cardless and pinless ATM facility

It has launched Aadhaar-based authentication at its ATMs to enable cardless financial transactions.

Traditionally the ATM card security was based on two-way authentication process which has a card and a pin number, but it has now been made cardless and painless by DCB bank

However, this feature will be limited to the DCB bank users while the other users will be restricted to old mechanism of the card and pin number.

This is great and a very innovative move by the bank and expectedly it will soon be followed by other banks too.

So now your fingerprint will replace your ATM card and Aadhar number will replace the PIN number.

Convenient and Safe

Biometrics has been used extensively in the global banking infrastructure due to its convenience and security feature.

So in order to improve the customer experience, Indian banks have started enabling biometric authentication.

The problem of the account being hacked or any fraud from card loss or theft will have a full stop.

e-KYC

The bank has been working on the e-KYC within its system for quite some time and still innovating in multiple areas focusing mostly in the digital space in line with the digital India mission of the government.

The bank has already gathered the KYC details of most of the customer and has recently deployed e-KYC in order to electronically facilitate the KYC.

Cardless mechanism is not a new thing

This is not the first bank which has started cardless mechanism of cash withdrawal from ATM.

Bank of India back in the year 2014 has introduced card less service which allowed users to take out money from ATM without even having a bank account.

The service enabled BOI customer to transfer money to any person with the help of receiver’s mobile number and a sender’s code through text message.

The person who received the money can withdraw from BOI ATM by providing details like sender’s code, mobile number, amount transferred and SMS pin to the receiver through SMS within 14 days.

Bottomline

It seems that the India is entering into a new phase of digitization with these kind of innovative services and is a boost to the Modi’s mission of digital India.
