Introduction
A price chart is nothing but the track record of stock. It records what a stock’s price was able to do in the past as well as what it is doing right now. For our purpose (long-term investing), we use only WEEKLY charts.
The most important aspect we want to see on a chart is the ‘DIRECTION OF PRICE’. If the price is rising from the left of the chart to the right, it is in UPTREND. If the price is falling from the left of the chart to the right, it is in DOWNTREND. We want to keep it simple; we just want overall direction. Stock prices move in three possible directions; up, down, and sideways. If we can tell up from down, we can use TA for investing & an understanding of the direction addresses both the premises specified earlier. 1.“Is the price rising or not rising”? 2. “Is the trend strong or not strong”? We concern about these possibilities only in case of an uptrend. The question here is how a big trend catch? There are specific characters of a price before it goes into a trend. Technical Analysis specifies very simple and noiseless techniques. This webinar will emphasise catching the big trends and ignoring all other factors.
