What our students have to say

Bharat Jhunjhunwala, the Founding Director and driving force behind ProRSI, is a highly experienced professional with an incredible 16-year track record in trading global equities, currencies, and commodities. Acknowledged as one of the most sought-after experts and trainers in the financial markets, Bharat has earned many honours, establishing his credibility within the sector.

His remarkable academic background includes qualifications as a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe), Chartered Market Technician (CMT), and Master of Financial Technical Analysis (IFTA).

Early Successes and Unexpected Failures

In 2006–2007, he made a successful entry into the stock market with an initial public offering (IPO). He felt the joy of financial achievement after turning a 10 lakh investment into a huge 16 lakh profit. Encouraged by this victory, He moved into the secondary market and used financial research to choose possible stocks carefully. However, the global financial crisis in 2008 occurred, causing the market to spiral downhill and resulting in severe losses for him.

The Critical Mistake: Averaging Down

When faced with a challenge, he made a crucial error by attempting to make up for his losses by averaging down on falling stocks. Sadly, this strategy not only didn't work well but also made things worse financially. As he recognized that the market was not always following fundamental research, he decided to review and improve his trading approach.

A Journey Through Call Providers and Mutual Fund

In an attempt to recover, he sought solutions from call providers, research providers, and tip providers, trusting them with his financial recovery. Disappointingly, just one out of ten recommendations turned out to be profitable. Unaffected, he looked into conservative investments, such as large-size stocks and mutual funds. However, new difficulties emerged when the 2012 Greek crisis affected investments that were thought to be stable.

Discovering Technical Analysis

The Relative Strength Index (RSI), a prominent indicator in technical analysis, fascinated him. Understanding its significance, he not only used it as the foundation of his study but also sought knowledge from Mr. Andrew Cardwell, a recognised expert on RSI. He perfected his skills and understanding under Cardwell's guidance, ultimately venturing out into portfolio management.

His groundbreaking breakthrough occurred when he immersed himself in the works of William O'Neill, a trader who advocated a methodical, analytical approach to the market. Motivated by O'Neill's observations, He studied pricing trends in great detail, figuring out which ones had a good chance of working. His trading view underwent an important structural change as a result of streamlining his strategy and concentrating on the mathematical underpinnings.

In an effort to improve his approach even further, he studied Von Tharp's writings, focusing on risk management and position size. He was able to immediately trim losses, execute successful trades, and regain consistency in the market thanks to this refining process. It became clear that disciplined risk management was essential to his transition from losses to long-term prosperity.

Balancing Trading and Business

He defies the stereotype that trading requires a full-time commitment by successfully balancing his trading activity with his current business. Bharat Jhunjhunwala portfolio is in crores. This emphasizes how trading may be a good addition to regular work, providing an ideal blend between the two activities.

Notable Achievements

He is also an esteemed member of the Market Technicians Association (MTA – USA). By using his extensive practical knowledge in the global equities, currency, and commodities markets, he has trained over 5000 people globally, showing his impact on the global market. His written work, which includes articles and blogs, has received recognition for its quality and commitment to truthfulness. This shows his expertise as well as his dedication to spreading insightful information to a larger audience.

The Master of Financial Technical Analysis (MFTA) award from the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) in the USA was given to him. This prestigious award recognises the exceptional work he has done for the Relative Strength Index (RSI), demonstrating his deep knowledge and competence with this key technical indicator in appreciation for his contributions to technical analysis.
